Summer School Day 3
サマースクール3日目も、子どもたちは創造力を存分に発揮しながら、さまざまなアートやものづくりに挑戦しました。
午前中は、昨日制作したWall Marble Runのコースをさらに改良しました。「もっと速く転がるかな？」「ここにカーブを作ってみよう！」と友達と相談しながら工夫を重ね、何度も試しながらより楽しいコース作りに取り組んでいました。完成したコースでビー玉が思い通りに転がるたびに、教室中が笑顔と歓声に包まれていました。
続いて、Laminated Cellophane Suncatchersでは、色鮮やかなセロハンを組み合わせて、光にかざすと美しく輝くキーホルダーを作りました。それぞれが好きな色や形を選び、一人ひとりの個性が光る素敵な作品が完成しました。
午後は、この日の一番のチャレンジとなるAbstract Floral Art using a Stringに挑戦しました。ひもを使って絵の具を引き出し、美しい花の模様を表現する活動では、どんな模様になるのかを楽しみにしながら、集中して取り組む姿が見られました。3色の絵の具を組み合わせることで、一人ひとり異なる美しいデザインが生まれ、世界に一つだけの素敵な作品に仕上がりました。
試行錯誤しながら工夫を重ねる姿や、友達と作品を見せ合って喜び合う姿がたくさん見られた、創造力あふれる一日となりました。
Summer School Day 3
Day 3 of Summer School was filled with creativity, imagination, and artistic expression as students explored a variety of hands-on activities.
In the morning, students continued improving their Wall Marble Run designs from the previous day. They worked together to make their tracks even more exciting, testing new curves, slopes, and pathways to help the marbles travel more smoothly. Every successful run was met with smiles, cheers, and a sense of accomplishment.
Next, students created beautiful Laminated Cellophane Suncatchers. By arranging colorful pieces of cellophane into unique patterns, they designed eye-catching keychains that shine brilliantly when the light passes through them. Each finished piece reflected the student's own creativity and style.
In the afternoon, students tackled the day's biggest challenge: Abstract Floral Art using a String. Using string-pulling techniques and three carefully chosen paint colors, they created stunning abstract floral designs. Everyone eagerly waited to see the unique patterns appear, and each artwork turned out beautifully. Although everyone followed the same process, every finished piece was completely unique, showcasing each student's creativity and artistic flair.
It was wonderful to see students experimenting with new ideas, encouraging one another, and taking pride in their creations. Day 3 was another joyful and inspiring day full of imagination and creativity.
